Well, spring comes and goes...little by little. It is somehow leading me away from my old work and back, surprisingly, to the abstraction i learned to do in graduate school.
I have felt the urge to draw with colored pencils on watercolor, again. I am enjoying it very much. Some of this work is on my website.
Vertin gallery in Calumet has a lot of my work. Some is also at the Community Arts Center in Hancock, and some at the Grace Chosy Gallery in Madison. In June i will show new small abstracts at the Galerie Boheme in Calumet. My next exhibition will be in September at the Cultural Arts Center in Marquette. In October I will have a small show in Baraga at their Gallelry 327.
I just donated eight small paintings to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Houghton, based on the theme of emptiness and the spirit: 8 empty vessels, each 6x6".
My studio is in an old elementary school, 801 North Lincoln Drive in Hancock. I love visitors! I am usually there but please call first: 906-370-3183. My hours are erratic.
